In early life Jerome Ryan was born as the seventh son of a seventh son in McDonalds, Newfoundland. He then moved to St. Johns, Newfoundland and lived near Mundy Pond. He helped in the strike of the schools for Night time and Day time schools in newfoundland. In his mid-twienties he hithiked with his brother to Toronto, Ontario with only $30 in his pocket. In Toronto he found a job working the photocopier at Canadian Tire Home Office. Soon he was manager in home office.
