Nancy Scibilia was born in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in Queens.
Nancy began her music business career in 1992 at Polygram Group Distribution as a field marketing representative for Polygram's distributed labels at the time, which included Mercury Records, Island Rcords, Def Jam, A&M Records, Deutsche Grammophone, Verve, Polydor, among others. Polygram Group Distribution and Universal Music Group merged in 1999 and Nancy was promoted to Artist Development Rep, representing music releases for the associated labels under the Universal Music and Video Distribution umbrella. In 2000, Nancy accepted a position with Mammoth Records as National Retail Marketing Manager. At this time, Nancy also began working with independent female fronted bands in the NYC area. Nancy helped organize and present LADYFEST EAST in September 2001. Nancy also helped run independent label, 28 Days Records, which was started by the members of Moxie. Nancy and 28 Days Records released a 2 disc Ladyfest East compilation, which showcased the best of female fronted independent music from the Northeast.
In November 2001, Nancy left Mammoth Records and moved to Los Angeles. Nancy took on various music business consulting jobs from 2002-mid 2003. Mid 2003 brought Nancy to Indivision Management, home of The Donnas, The Locust, Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, among others. In 2007, Nancy moved on to Gold Mountain Entertainment, where she currently represents acts such as The Dollyrots, Holly Golightly & The Broke-Offs, and Skybombers.
