Jerkcity

Jerkcity is a webcomic published daily apart from brief interruptions since 17 August 1998. It features four main characters — Pants, Rands, Deuce, and Spigot — and their nonsensical adventures within the Jerkcity universe. The strip's backgrounds and the appearance of its characters are generated with the long-defunct application Microsoft Comic Chat, which features the artwork of Jim Woodring. The spirit of the strip is summed up in its official motto, "Slurping and drooling and hurrrr.".

Characters and dialogue
Jerkcity features a central cast of four characters — Pants, Rands, Deuce, and Spigot — and a dozen or so minor ones. Almost all characters in the comic strip, including the main characters, are standard characters bundled with Microsoft Comic Chat, and each character is thus depicted using a limited number of pre-existing poses and expressions. As a result, characters will often indicate action through onomatopoeia even though they appear to be doing nothing more than standing in one place and talking, and are sometimes covered with censor bars to suggest nudity. The strip's dialogue is often absurd, obscene, and/or completely incomprehensible gibberish, and is occasionally redacted without explanation. Because of the inscrutable nature of much of the dialogue, the site contains an official glossary, which helps to explain various slang used in strips, like "HUGLAGHALGHALGHAL" (the onomatopoeic representation of "dicklicking") and "T" (chat lingo meaning "Tell", followed by the name of the person who is being addressed).
* Deuce — A fellow in a tiki mask, often the most aggressive.
* Pants — A nine-eyed "Christmas tree monster", arguably the weirdest and least tactful character. Tends to be gluttonous more frequently than the other characters.
* Rands — A grey alien. Generally the most serious and level-headed character, which, owing to the general level of absurdity in Jerkcity's humor, amounts to little more than an occasional bout of programming talk.
* Spigot — A beatnik with a beret and a goatee.
Collected editions
* The Big Book of Jerkcity (ISBN 0-966-33118-4) was released on April 20, 2003. Two-hundred hand-numbered paperback copies were printed. The book sold out and is out of print. The contents included strips from the first five years, an introduction by Rands and a glossary that has since been updated and added to the website.
Music
From time to time, Jerkcity releases musical interludes as DJ Rapekit.
