Jennifer "Jenna" Ware (born 1957) co-founded the Joseph F. Ware Jr. Advanced Engineering Laboratory at Virginia Tech with her husband Joseph F. Ware Jr.. Ware Lab, Virginia Tech Ware co-founded the Joseph F. Ware Jr. Advanced Engineering Laboratory, the “Ware Lab,” in 1998 along with her husband and then Virginia Tech engineering professor Hayden Griffin, Ph.D. While visiting Virginia Tech in the 1990s, Ware noticed advanced, undergraduate engineering projects by students were undertaken in campus rooms that could be found, with no central location, no supportive mechanical or design shop; this led to her conceiving of the laboratory. |
