Hyperloop at Virginia Tech

Hyperloop at Virginia Tech was founded in September 2015, after the announcement of the Hyperloop pod competition hosted by SpaceX. The team consists of 30 undergraduate students ranging in studies from mechanical engineering to business. Hyperloop at Virginia Tech placed 4th for Build and Design during the SpaceX Design Weekend hosted at Texas A&M. The team is invited to the SpaceX headquarters in Hawthorne, CA to test a fully functional pod on the SpaceX mile long test track for the first phase of the Hyperloop pod competition.
