Jay Phillip Rosenzweig is an international businessman, who founded Rosenzweig & Company, an executive recruitment firm with offices and partnerships in Toronto, New York, Calgary, Los Angeles and Mumbai. Rosenzweig earned a B.A. in Philosophy from McGill University and then went on to graduate from its law school where he obtained both Civil Law (B.C.L.) and Common Law (LL.B.) Degrees through the four-year National Program. As a law student, Rosenzweig summered with Irwin Cotler the former Attorney General of Canada. While he is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada he is a non-practicing lawyer. Rosenzweig authors an annual report called The Rosenzweig Report on Women at the Top Levels of Corporate Canada first published in 2006. This report analyzes the prevalence of female executives at the 100 largest publicly traded companies in the country and has received widespread coverage in media. These reports have been referenced by Status of Women Canada, a federal government organization devoted to the advancement of women in Canadian Life, in 2008 and 2009. These reports have also become a teaching tool in business schools and required reading for many politicians.
