Jatinder Singh is a New Zealand cricket fan of Indian origin from Te Aroha who was a winner in the popular Tui Catch a Million campaign during New Zealand's 2014 international cricket summer which required spectators to take a one handed catch in the crowd. On the 22nd January 2014, Singh caught a six hit by Corey Anderson bowled by Ishant Sharma to win $100,000 NZD from Tui Breweries during a match between the New Zealand cricket team and the Indian cricket team at Seddon Park in Hamilton. The competition required that spectators must be wearing an orange Tui shirt, a match day lanyard and take a clean one handed to claim the $100,000 prize. Singh was the second spectator to win the prize after Michael Morton who achieved the feat two weeks prior, also in Hamilton during a match between New Zealand and the West Indies cricket team.. During a television interview with TVNZ's Breakfast programme, Singh explained that he thought he could catch a cricket ball one handed if it came his way, but that he "never thought it would actually happen" and he intends to save his prize money for his future. At the 2014 Cannes international public relations awards, Tui received a gold medal for the Tui Catch A Million campaign, and at the 2014 New Zealand Sports and Recreation awards, Tui received an award for its commercial partnership with New Zealand Cricket.
