Punggol Waterway Sundew

The Waterway Sundew is an estate located in Punggol, Singapore. It is a BTO project from May 2012. It is currently in the process of being built. Being near the end of the waterway, Sundew is near Serangoon Reserviour.

Waterway Sundew consists of seven blocks for residential usage with a range of 6 to 19 storeys. It consists of 3-, 4- and 5- room premium flats.
Green Features
Waterway Sundew is part of the Punggol 21 plan. The vision is to transform Punggol into an Eco-Town. and Sundew has green features like motion sensor lights at stairways, designed to save energy consumption. Recycled and sustainable materials are used for certain parts of the development of the estate. Bicycle stands are built to encourage residents to be environmental friendly by cycling and special bioswales are designed to prevent street flooding.
Amenities and Facilities
To go green, there are cycling paths, running tracks, footbridges and fitness stations built. These foster family time, as well as encourages residents to lead healthy lifestyles and be environmental friendly. There are numerous waterfront activities at Waterway Sundew. Coney Island is also near Waterway Sundew, as the location of the estate is near the end of the waterway, which leads to the Serangoon Reserviour. There, residents can find nature, dining and activity experiences along the promenade.
Waterway Point is in building progress now and as Punggol Waterway is being developed, more facilities will be created. It is believed in time to come, Punggol will be a self sustaining estate. There are currently schools to cater to the rising population of the next generation in Punggol. Currently the school list includes:
- Horizon Primary School
- Punggol Secondary School
- Greendale Primary School
- Greendale Secondary School
Sundew will also have its very own supermarket and coffee shops. Other than that, residents can take the LRT to Waterway Point (around 2-3 stops) which is due to open in 2015.
Traveling
Commuting in Waterway Sundew is quite limited for now. There are 2 nearest LRT stations - Kaladoor and Oasis LRT Stations. There seems to be very limited bus stops at present. However, Sundew is near an expressway which is near to neighbouring estates like Seng Kang and Hougang. Near to the east, it is easy to get to Tampines via the expressway as well. The Multi Storey Carpark at Sundew is also a good facilities that mirror that of a private Condominium's. It has total coverage which residents will be shielded from rain, as well as having lifts near the lots which provides easier access to their homes.
Completion
The expected waiting time will be in Q2 2016 and the Estimated Delivery Possession Date is 30 April 2017.
