Jane Brophy

Jane Brophy is a British politician who has been a councillor in Greater Manchester for over 15 years, and served as a Trafford councillor in Village ward for eight years from 1994. In 2008, she was elected as a Timperley ward councillor.
Brophy has worked for the NHS in Greater Manchester and has been involved in public health nutrition in Oldham. Brophy currently works for the Health Service in Lancashire. As a healthcare professional, Brophy is on the England board of the British Dietetic Association. Brophy is an Associate Governor at Altrincham College of Arts.
Brophy is the Liberal Democrat candidate for the 2015 Oldham West And Royton by-election.
Political Position
Brophy has an interest in environmental issues, and has actively campaigned for new allotments and Tidy Up schemes in Timperley.
Personal life
Brophy lives with her husband John and has three grown-up children. Jane attended a comprehensive school and was the first person in her family to attend university.
