Jane Bronson Cartano was born on February 5, 1921 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Florence Delaney Bronson and David Edgeworth Bronson. She received a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from New Mexico State in 1942. She was selected for Who’s Who in American Educational Institutions for 1940-1941. She received a Masters Degree in Nutrition from Iowa State College in 1944 on Vitamin C Metabolism. She came to Seattle as the Chief Nutritionist for the Washington State Dairy Council. She was active in East Lake Washington Home Economists and the Eagleson Guild of Children's Hospital Medical Center.
Jane Cartano was married to John D. Cartano on November 1, 1946. She celebrated her 58th wedding anniversary with John on November 1, 2004. She died on May 1, 2005, and was survived by seven children, 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
