Youri Aramin Kemp

Youri Aramin Kemp (born May 13, 1979) is a widely published Economist, Management Consultant and Journalist from The Bahamas. He was born to Gary Philip Kemp and Florence Priscilla Kemp (nee Gibson) on the island of New Providence, The Bahamas.
He studied at St. Johns College for his primary and high school education and from them he studied for two years at The Bahamas Baptist Community College for an Associates of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sociology. From them he took up further studies at the St. Thomas University, Miami, Florida where he obtained a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology, graduate cum-laude and also did minors in Political Science and Philosophy. It was here where he got an understanding of International Politics and Economics and was further motivated to see how the markets work.
Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he worked with The Bahamas Government with The Urban Renewal Program before taking up further studies at The London School of Economics and Political Science where he obtained a Masters Degree in Comparative Politics and Markets under the tutelage of Dr. Jonathan Hopkin and Dr. David Woodruff. He also continued his studies at Cornell University where he obtained a Certificate in Financial Management.
Mr. Kemp's work has scaled a wide range of topics that focus on economics, trade and finance as well as with various issues surrounding the human condition and the economy. His works have been widely published in The Nassau Guardian , The Caribbean News Now., Caribseek and The National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade.
He has held consultancies with The Inter-American Development Bank, FHI 360 and various other non-governmental agencies and is currently now serving as President and CEO of KEMP GLOBAL, a Management Consulting firm registered in The Bahamas that provides a wide range of management services from Strategy, Market Research and Economic Analysis to back office support and IT.
There are countless articles authored by Mr. Kemp that focus on the state of the international crisis of 2008, the general state of the international economy with some focus on individual nation states, and has been at the forefront of bringing news and analysis for how small states should protect their economies from current and future economic shocks.
