Jade de Guzman

Jade de Guzman earned her degree in Computer Engineering from Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts in 1993. She earned her MS in management, MIT Sloan School of Management under the Sloan Fellows program, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 1997

Jade de Guzman is the alleged 3rd wife of the infamous Mike de Guzman of Bre-X fame. Her reported net worth is US $120 Million in gold holdings and a large amount of gold bullion.

According to the official version of events, deGuzman's husband, Bre-X's exploration manager threw himself from an Alouette helicopter on March 19, 1997, while it was cruising 800 feet above the Indonesian jungle. This helicopter was piloted by none other than Tet Lara of the Philippine Navy. He left behind a few hastily scrawled suicide notes, a Rolex watch and a slew of unanswered questions.

Members of the Philippine shooting team, namely, Tet Lara, Jade de Guzman, and Mike de Guzman are accused of the wanton killing protected Philippine wildlife. Scandalous photographs depicted them mocking and desecrating the animals while using a government issued speedboat made headlines in television news, the print media, and the blogs. They refused to accept their guilt inspite of the photographs that they themselves took. They remain unremorseful. The Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR) is investigating the crime amidst the outcry of the people. Never has there been an incident more harmful to the image of Philippine sports than this case. The people are expecting the DENR to prosecute all three.
