Justin Watts is an American college basketball player for the . He grew up in Durham, North Carolina, and attended Charles E. Jordan High School. Early life Watts was born in Durham, North Carolina on July 1, 1990 to Gregory and Linda Watts. He is the cousin of NFL cornerback Hank Poteat. High School Career Watts was a three-time all-conference selection, and the 2008 Pac-6 Conference Player of the Year at Charles E. Jordan High School. He averaged 24.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game as a senior. College Career After receiving scholarship offers from Stanford University, Rice University, East Carolina University, Fairfield University, and George Mason University, Watts committed to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on May 20, 2008. Watts also received interest from Clemson University, The University of Georgia, The University of Illinois, Pennsylvania State University, Temple University, and The University of Virginia. Watts was a member of UNC's 2009 during his freshman season. He primarily played shooting guard. Despite being undersized, Watts moved to the power forward position during his junior season due to UNC's lack of post depth.
