Jack P. Gunter is a plastic surgeon based in Dallas, Texas. His exclusive area of focus is in the field of rhinoplasty. He received bad publicity on the web after an unsuccessful operation.
Biography
Dr. Gunter is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology, and serves as a Clinical Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery and the Department of Otolaryngology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Gunter is, along with plastic surgeons Rod Rohrich, MD and William P. Adams, MD, co-editor of the book Dallas Rhinoplasty: Nasal Surgery by the Masters.
Dr. Gunter founded the Annual Dallas Rhinoplasty Symposium, which he still co-chairs with Dr. Rohrich. He is a founding member of the Rhinoplasty Society, a non-profit organization based in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Gunter completed his Residency in Otolaryngology at Tulane University EENT Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, and his Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Michigan hospitals in Ann Arbor. He was awarded an NIH Fellowship in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Dr. Gunter received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
