IPerfumer App

iPerfumer is an app created by Givaudan in which the user can receive recommendations for new perfume scents based upon their scent preferences. The app was released on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad in mid-2010. Givaudan marketing director Maurizio Volpi stated that the app will appeal to buyers who "are daunted when choosing fragrance and either walk away or buy the same perfume every time because it is a safe choice" but might be encouraged to select new scents via technology. Usage The app allows users to discover new fragrances by rating various basic scents on a one to five star scale. iPerfumer also allows users to rate various perfumes and colognes in order to widen their recommendations. The app will then recommend various scents to the user as well as notify them of upcoming releases they might enjoy. The app allows you to share recommendations and results via facebook. |
