Charles Edward Lincoln

Charles Edward Lincoln is a Mayan anthropologist, disbarred lawyer, "self-described anarchist", and member of the .
In his anthropological work, Lincoln is known for his contributions to the study of Mayan society and trying to compare Georges Dumézil's Trifunctional hypothesis to the structure of the hierarchy of the Maya. In the late 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s he studied under the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, and also he studied with Gordon Willey in various parts of Yucatan. He received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Anthropology from Harvard University.
