IPC International Corporation provides security services to shopping malls, properties, and various other retail venues. IPC's portfolio includes over 500 properties in North America and the UK, including properties managed by Simon Property Group, The Pyramid Companies, General Growth Properties, as well as, among many others, , the San Francisco Zoo, and Baltimore-Washington Airport. The company was incorporated as General Investigative Corporation in 1978 by Howard L. Kaplan and changed its name to IPC International Corporation in March 1984. IPC employs approximately 6,500 security officers.
