The Federation of International Poetry Associations is a non-profit supranational agency operating under the auspices of UNESCO Purpose The purpose of the Federation shall be the advancement and diffusion of poetical knowledge and best pratices in poetry. The Federation unites and representsdiverse societies and groups of professional poets and it serves the affiliated societies as a clearing house of ideas. As a representative forum il helps to focus attention on the occupation of poets. Organization The Federation is an apolitical body.The members of organizations within the Federation are designed to exert affirmative and approving influence on culture by encouraging standards of excellence. The Federation represents the poets of all nations as their highest organizationnal office. The fuctions of the Federation, apart from those stated above, are manifested in the organization of international congressesand biannual gatherings also on international level. Publication New Muses is the official organ of the Federation. It is a quarterly publication. It serves the Présidents, Directors and Heads of organizations, societies and groups affiliated with the Federation. See Also
