Science Research and Educational Institute of Texas
The Science Research and Educational Institute of Texas (SREIT) was founded in 2008 to support research in the sciences. The society's website states that SREIT "was created with three primary motives in mind; 1) to support all forms of research in the sciences, 2) to help educate the public in science disciplines and 3) to bring students together with professionals in common fields of interest”. SREIT is also concerned with the conservation, preservation, reproduction and maintenance of fossil specimens, teaching these aspects of the museum science discipline in their prep-lab. <big>History</big>
___ SREIT was founded in 2008 by public school teachers in Texas for the purpose of supporting science and research. The stated mission of the society is: “The Science Research and Educational Institute of Texas is dedicated to providing educational, scholarly and community service opportunities to students, educators, and researchers in all areas of science by encouraging learning, academic excellence, and the highest level of ethics and standards”.
