Innovative Artists is a talent and literary agency with offices in New York City, Santa Monica, and Chicago. Its company's founders are Scott Harris and Howard Goldberg. Its origins can be traced to 1982. The founders started their Company after leaving the Phil Gersh Agency. Their offices were at the start located in Beverly Hills in their accountant's office. With the addition of a New York office and production and literary departments, the agency changed shape as Innovative Artists Talent and Literary Agency in 1992. After the Agency expanded to Chicago, Harris formed an Executive Committee in 2007 to oversee the growth and to maintain the Agency's goals. Innovative is categorized as a mid-sized agency and finds the same business as the big four such as WME, CAA, ICM, and UTA. Innovative Artists also has a Young Talent Division. The firm's Santa Monica offices are in a 20,000 sq ft. space.
