MBSL is an Irish based outsourced services company which specializes in managing the finance function for their clientele, as well as IT consulting. These services involve providing management information and financial reporting, payroll, company secretarial compliance, and tax planning and wealth management, while also providing expert advice on workplace information systems implementation. MBSL was founded in 1998 as McNally Business Services, under the guise that accounting practices should be a part of larger multidisciplinary practices that can provide financial, legal, HR and company secretarial services to clients, and that understanding the client’s business is the foundation to excellent service. The acronym MBSL was incorporated into the logo of the company as it is both memorable, and more convenient/efficient to say. This change also reflects the very IT driven nature of MBSL in relation to domain naming and an acknowledgement of the importance of online development. MBSL was headquartered in Donnybrook South Dublin prior to the move to a larger facility, in Dundrum South Dublin, in late December 2008 in order to cope with the constant growth of it’s operation. History MBSL was founded in 1998 by chartered accountant, and entrepreneur,Gerry McNally along with fellow PriceWaterHouseCoopers trained chartered accountant, and former Finance & Operations Manager of Sony Music, Kieran O'Brien. Between them they have over four decades of experience in their line of work. In 1999, chartered accountant, and project specialist, Karl Haughton joined team MBSL. To this day these men make up the upper management structure of MBSL. Its first residence was a small two-storey office space located in Donnybrook, South Dublin where staff would lunch at their desks and park half a mile away to avoid Dublin City’s astronomical Pay Parking zone fees. Growth From its roots in Dublin city, MBSL relocated from their city site to Dundrum. The much larger facility offered MBSL room for the growth it was experiencing as time passed. With the move came a new environmental initiative, the paperless project, while also using the new space to observe the finer points of ergonomics, and enabling the IT initiative to expand its hardware to continue its drive for the utmost security, reliability and expertise. From day one MBSL has experienced large growth in its clientele of various sizes and sectors.
