Information Management using PIIMS

Information Management using PIIMS
This new method of managing information is by using PIIMS an interactive website created and developed by Juan Jose Perez in 01/01/2010 at the University of Houston in Texas. The main purpose of the site is for information management by bridging the gap between information management and information managers. The information is efficiently and effectively managed by bring together information management and information managers into one central location. The site serves as a central network location for all of an individual’s information and application.
The site is designed and developed to an individual’s own specification using a ColdFusion and Dreamweaver environment. A Microsoft Access database is utilized for collecting, storing, retrieving, and organizing data.
A PIIMS provides the creator of the site with autonomy and independence. In designing and developing an interactive site an individual is no longer tied to a commercial provider and can decide what information is advertised on the site. All advertisements can be avoided by making the site the homepage; this would also increase the down loading and up loading speed of the site. PIIMS would be the individuals own private means of interacting with the internet; all other websites would fall under the umbrella of the PIIMS.
