The Indus Academy is a private school in Karachi, Pakistan, providing primary and middle school education. The school was recognized by the British Council as a bonafide institution preparing children for the O Level exams in 2006. History The Play school started operating in August 1989 with four students. Within a month the student body had increased to 20 and then to 45 in the following year. By 1997 the Play school had moved to an independent school building in the Clifton area. Here the student strength was 75 with eight teachers in addition to the three original partners. With the number of students increasing, a need for additional space was felt. As a result in 2003 the school rented 62 Clifton in addition to the two buildings located at D75 and D76 Clifton. In 2006 the school purchased 62 Clifton which currently houses its middle and senior sections.
