Filmmaker and video editor, Ina Adele Ray (aka “Adele”) migrated from Brooklyn, NY to Oakland, CA back in 2011. She is currently working on several projects including: #Nailedit: Vietnamese & the Nail Industry with Director Adele Free Pham, as the film's producer and editor, and is slated to be the editor for the documentary Futbolistas4Life with Director Jun Stinson in the near future. For a decade, Ray has been developing and filming a long term personal documentary, Ong Ba Ngoai (formerly titled Lost Pictures). The film is a follow up to El Paso, Vietnam with a new focus on her relationship with her Vietnamese grandparents and their experiences as Vietnamese Diaspora spanning three wars and three continents over half a century. For over 13 years, Adele has worked in film and video production in both the commercial and non-profit worlds to support her passion for filmmaking. Her recent television editing work includes 30, 60, and 90 minute programs about China and Chinese culture for D3 Productions, Inc. that air on PBS stations across the U.S. Adele has served as a Part-time Assistant Professor, teaching film and media courses at the New School University and has also taught at NYU and Parsons School of Design.
