IKB Travel is a travel company established in 1996 with its main office based at 230 Edgware Road, London. IKB Travel specialises in Aviation Ticket sales and aircraft chartering. IKB Travel's workforce consists of 100+ members of staff, 40 of which are based at its London office and 30 are based at its Baghdad office with the remainder based at various Middle Eastern and European Airports including Baghdad International Airport and London Gatwick. History It was originally founded by Imad Burhan and in 2005 control of the company was taken over by Abir Burhan. Iraqi Airways Involvement IKB Travel is the General Sales Agent for Iraqi Airways in the United Kingdom and manages operational aspects of Iraqi Airways in the UK. IKB Travel also administrates and runs the Iraqi Airways UK website. IKB Travel was heavily invloved in the April 2010 re-emergence of the Iraqi Airways vs Kuwait Airways $1.2 billion legal battle. Al-Naser Airlines Involvement Since the demise of Iraqi Airways in April 2010 and the suspension of flights to Baghdad from London on Iraqi Airways IKB Travel signed a partnership with Al-Naser Airlines of Iraq to replace capacity for the London to Baghdad route.
