Horasis

Horasis : The Global Visions Community is a Geneva-based organization that holds annual meetings for senior business executives. The flagship events are the Horasis Annual Meeting as well as regional meetings focusing on China , India ,
Russia and the Arab world .Among the participants are the Chief Executive Officers of Fortune 1000 companies as well as business leaders from emerging markets. Also participating are thought leaders and public figures including heads of government and key ministers.

Goals
Its mission states: Horasis is committed to enacting visions for a sustainable future . Horasis works principally through partnerships with governments, organizations and corporations, often serving as an incubator for new initiatives. The meetings rotate amongst host cities/countries which support the events.
Horasis has been called a 'World Economic Forum for the emerging market set.' Horasis is trying to create a platform for cooperation between emerging and developed markets.
History
Horasis was founded in 2005 by Frank-Jürgen Richter. The first Horasis meeting - the Global China Business Meeting - was held in Geneva in November 2005. Over the years, the Global China Business Meeting developed into an important annual gathering of Chinese and global business leaders.
The annual Global India Business Meeting was added in 2009, the Global Russia Business Meeting and the Global Arab Business Meeting in 2010.
Awards
Horasis awards 'Business Leaders of the Year' - entrepreneurs who have been building and leading successful global firms of Chinese, Indian, Russian or Arab origin. The awards honor the outstanding business leaders who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement. The award ceremonies take place at the respective regional meetings.
