HigherSelf Lifestyle is a multi-service organization committed to investing in the social and economic development of low and moderate income communities in New York City. HigherSelf's areas of focus are small business development, employment and workforce development, arts and culture, and housing. The organization is headquartered in Brooklyn, and serves New York City. In its brief history, HigherSelf has served thousands of community members and dozens of small businesses through its social and economic development programs. HigherSelf's programs HigherSelf currently has five programs. Partners This program supports local small businesses by connecting them with free or discounted professional services, listing in HigherSelf's Small Business Directory, funding, and contracting and vending opportunities LIVE HigherSelf's LIVE program produces progressive artistic and cultural events and activities in underserved communities. This program also connect local artists with resources and opportunities. Jobs This program connects community members with employment opportunities provided by local small businesses, institutions and government agencies. HigherSelf also hosts workshops designed to build skills and obtain certifications needed to take advantage of these employment opportunities. Housing HigherSelf Housing helps community members locate affordable rentals, purchase opportunities, and prequalify for mortgage loans.
