Hero Film School

Hero Film School is a privately owned and operated film school based in Hollywood, California, USA. Best known for its Feature Film Courses in which students work on a professional feature film under the guidance of experienced Hollywood film instructors. The students are cast and crew of every film, yet the films are professional features for which the students are actually paid at industry agreed rates, commonly termed Guild rates, by associated production companies which are signatories to the Guilds and Unions.

The school is located at the historic CBS Studios building known as Columbia Square on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. The building has been the birthplace of many television and radio celebrities from the golden age of Hollywood. CBS Studios has sold out the building and relocated to Burbank, CA. The building now houses a number of film industry related companies given its impressive sound stages and filmmaking facilities.

Hero Film School also offers a number of different courses, all practically based, in which students work on actual films, shorts, TV Commercials and TV Series (pilots) as part of their mentoring programs. These include intensive two week Music Video and TV & Podcast Commercial courses; a three week TV Pilot course; an eight week Short Film course, and their seven month Feature Film Course.

The Feature Film Course is primarily designed for students who have prior learning and/or experience; this is one of the reasons some have given Hero Film School the term "finishing school".
