Henrik von Scheel

Henrik von Scheel (born 1969) is a business strategy management theorist and author. Best known as one of the founding fathers of and Industry 4.0. He is listed by Financial Times as one of the most influential business thinkers on strategy and management concepts and corporate practices.
Works
Through his academic research, publications and efforts with standard bodies (ISO, IEEE, OMG, CEN, NIST, LEADing Practice, NATO, United Nations, W3C ) he has define concepts and practices in business management and strategy execution that have evolved the mainstream thinking of what is being taught by academia and applied by organizations today. His most recognizable and popular concept is the proprietary graphical representation 'CAN, WANT SHOULD DO', 'Emerging & Disruptive Trends', 'Six Business Models' and 'Operating Model Notations'.
Enterprise Standards
Henrik von Scheel is the originator with Prof Mark von Rosing of Enterprise Standards, a set of document rules, instructions that describe a repeatable sequence of practices and activities that are required to achieve the desired result.
Pioneering new frontiers in the field of pattern recognition, he and Professor Mark von Rosing are accredited for their contribution to have defined the rules required to repeat and reuse patterns and practices across business, information technology, architecture, engineer and modeling disciplines. These rules include the categorization, classification, semantics relationship, ontology, meta objects, maps, matrix, models, and instructions.
Digital Agenda
As part of the Advisory Council at the Federal Minister of Economy & Technology, Henrik von Scheel played a significant role to define Germany future digital strategy in 2009. The 'Digital Agenda' was adopted by the European Commission in 2010 as part of the Europe 2020 and evolved into the Industry 4.0 Digital Agenda is one of Europe's seven flagship - responsible for 5% of GDP, with a market value of €660 billion annually.
Industry 4.0
As one of the founding fathers and driving force behind this Industry 4.0, he was an Advisory Group member for the Federal Ministry Education & Research - interministerial innovation policy initiatives tasked to define the high-tech strategy of Germany. The final Industry 4.0 report was announced April 2013.
