Heat : within the kingdoms of milky way is the upcoming adventure game. It is being developed by indie developers and artists. Game release date is 15th November 2013.
Gameplay
Heat is developed on the game engine, and will feature 3D environments, as well as 2D cutscenes. While not a completely open world, the game will feature several free-roaming exploration levels, such as Satyana, and reward players for exploring the levels and finding secrets. The locations themselves will change slightly depending on the season as the story progresses. The players will be able to quickly travel from one location to another.
The players will steer playable characters from , using controls given on screen. The gameplay focus will be put on exploring the environments and story and solving puzzles.The on-screen interface will be hidden by default to improve the immersion. There will be combat and stealth gameplay in Heat.
The game will feature a linear plot but the players will control its pace and perspective. The game is designed to take at least 6 hours for an average player to complete.
Synopsis
Plot
The story will begin about a year after the conclusion of Dreamfall and center on Razzy Cash, the protagonist of Dreamfall who saved Stark from the Static but was betrayed and left in a coma. While her body remains at a Casablancan hospital with thinning chances of recovery,Zoë's consciousness is trapped in the realm of "Storytime", which was briefly glimpsed in the previous game. Under the player's control, Zoë will learn to use her emerging powers to control dreams, escape Storytime, travel to Europolis (a dystopian megapolis covering most of Central and Western Europe) and eventually, to Arcadia, where Kian Alvane, an elite Azadi soldier and another of the Dreamfall protagonists, awaits execution for high treason at the Friar's Keep.
Chapters will include a recap of the previous games to ease the new players into the story. Although it will conclude what the developers refer to as "the Dreamer Cycle", it will not be the last installment of The Longest Journey series.
Characters
The protagonist of the game is Razzy Cash. The game will feature three playable characters: Razzy Cash. Other five characters are undisclosed yet.
Development
the production of the game begin 14th February. The plot, however, was already written out.
Release
The target release date of Heat is November 2013. Although digital distribution will be the default distribution model.
Although Heat is an episodic video game, the pre-production of the game started in January 2013.
The target platforms are iOS, and Android, because the developers believe "that's where fans are". However, other platforms, such as webs and PCs, will also be considered. The game is originally written in English version.
