Heart Kun

Heart-Kun, a chihuahua puppy who has become Japan's heart-throb after he was born with a heart-shaped mark on his coat. Images of "Heart-kun" have been circulating ever since he was born in Odate, Japan in May 18, 2007 at the Pucchin Dogs shop. Shop owner Emiko Sakurada, who bred over 1,000 puppies, said that she had been breeding dogs for several years now and had never come across such strange markings.
Heart-kuns natural heart-shaped markings on his fur have made him an instant star in Japan; it was a case of puppy love across the world as the tiny dog made television appearances worldwide. Heart-kun even had his own DVD released on October 26, 2007 featuring two parts of films and photo galleries.
Since then, Sakurada has been flooded with calls from people wanting to buy him, which she has turned down. Sakurada has no plans to sell Heartkun because she believes his unusual markings have brought her luck. She told the media that her sister got lucky on the lottery and won a concert ticket.
In August 2009, Heart-kuns mother gave birth to a litter of four puppies, one of which, like his older brother, also bears a distinctive heart-shaped marking on its coat. Sakurada named this little fellow Love-kun.
