The Haringey Box Cup is a yearly, multi-national amateur boxing tournament held at the Alexandra Palace, in North London. The competition was founded in 2008 by the Haringey police and community amateur boxing club. It usually consists of over 300+ amateur boxers from around the world and runs consecutively over 3 days, with 3 rings as bouts occur simultaneously. The Haringey Box Cup is well known for prestige competitors such as, 2012 Super Heavyweight Olympic Gold medalists Anthony Joshua, 2012 Lightweight Olympic Gold medalists Katie Taylor and British Middleweight prospect Chris Eubank, Jr.. Competition format The competition is set for both male and females in which you must be 17+ years of age. The age groups are split into two, youths and seniors. The boxers are then put into groups according to experience; Class A= 0-10 bouts Class B= 10-20 bouts Class C= 20+ bouts Class E= International standard
