Pender Sessoms

Pender Sessoms is an American college tennis player. She achieved her highest rank of 55 in the United States. She has made several appearances in national tournaments and has been asked numerous times to represent North Carolina and the Souther in Jr. Davis Cup and Jr. Fed Cup appearances. She was recruited late in her senior year to play for the North Carolina State Wolfpack.
Born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, she began her tennis career at only the age of 3. Making her first tournament appearance at only age 7 where she took the gold in an age division 3 years older than she was. When she turned 12, Pender decided to move to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina where she trained at the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy under the Wimbledon champion, Stan Smith.
