Harinarayanchari Mishra

Harinarayanachari Mishra is a Madhya Pradesh Cadre, 2003 batch IPS officer. He is currently posted as Superintendent of Police, Jabalpur , India. He is graduated from BHU, Varanasi. Earlier he served as SDOP, Mhow, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Indore, ADC to Governor of M.P, Superintendent of Police, Balaghat, Khandwa. During his tenure as SP Balaghat, he effectively dealt with the problem of Naxal extremism. In the operation, a large number of extremists were arrested and the situation as brought under control. As S.P. Khandwa, he conceptualized the formation of the village protection committee.Due to his efforts, an improvement in communal harmony of city was recorded. In Jabalpur he solved many critical criminal cases. In jabalpur he started the "SANJIWANI" for helping the suicide help line. It's one of the first experiment of its kind. Since, Jabalpur is the highest suicide rate in India. The SANJIWANI is successfully helping the cases related to depression of common people. He is the recipient of Durgam Seva Padak , 2010, awarded for his work in Naxal affected area and Antarik Surakhsha Padak, 2010, for counter insurgency operation by the government of Madhya Pradesh and Indira Gandhi Sampradiyakta Sauhard Puraskar, 2013 given by Government of Madhya Pradesh.
