hamza bin al-wathan (born 1964) is a conceptual artist who combines performance, painting, video, and text. He lives and works on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Canada.
He is a founding member of the Salt Spring Conceptualists Group and participates in non-conceptual group shows. A recent exihibit at Mahon Hall during Easter of 2008, his 'Chroma Key Blue Boy,' a large triptych painting (8'x32' installed dimensions), was reviewed by Elizabeth Nolan, art reviewer for the Gulf Islands Driftwood (March 26, 2008). His work has been exhibited with period (.) gallery (Toronto) as well as the Storage Room Gallery (Toronto).
