Groton-Dunstable Regional Middle School

The Groton-Dunstable Middle School is a middle school located at 344 Main Street Groton, MA. It has a current student population of 976 in grades five through eight.
It's mission statement is: To inspire, motivate, and challenge the developmentally unique middle school student to think, learn, and strive for excellence in every endeavor in a safe and supportive community.
History
The regional school district was established in 1967 with the high school, middle school, and elementary school located on Main St. in Groton. In 1999, the "new gym" at the Main Street campus was renovated and renamed as the Peter Twomey Youth Center (PTYC) in order to honor a then recently deceased student. The PTYC is now "...a self-supporting facility that provides space for youth athletic leagues, adult education, and youth groups in Groton and Dunstable." With the student population expanding in 1993 to its current levels a new high school was needed and the high school relocated in 2003 to its current location near the border between the two towns it serves. Pages for Peace
Pages for Peace is an after school club at the Groton-Dunstable Regional Middle School. It's main goal is to create the largest book in the world about peace.
The Penny Project
The Penney Project is an after school club at the Groton-Dunstable Regional Middle School. It's main goal is to collect one million pennies to remember the children who died in the holocaust.
