Golems Universal Constructor

Golems Universtal Constructor is a cross-platform 3D Physics and Artificial Intelligence simulator. The game was published by independent programmer Sam Bayless of British Columbia, Canada in November of 2008. The project is currently in beta testing. The game is built on many open-source and proprietary technologies, however Golems itself is not open-source. Community discussion accounts for a large part of the game's overall direction.
Details
Golems enables you to construct any type of machine using various types of polygons combined with motors and joints which include hinges, hydraulics, axles, bearings, ball-and-socket and u-joints. When physics mode is engaged, the environment reacts to the laws of newtonian physics. Different types of sensors may also be used in conjunction with the motors, joints and polygons to create self-aware robots that act and react to stimulus. Sensors, functions and motors communicate with each other using a basic wiring model that sends signals to and from each other.
