Ari Shaffir

Ari Shaffir (born 1974) is a Jewish-American comedian, writer and actor currently living in Los Angeles, California. Shaffir received a B.A. in English from the University Of Maryland, College Park in 1999 and he also attended Yeshiva University.
He has performed live at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, California and has featured on two National Lampoon DVDs: Lost Reality and Lost Reality 2.
The Amazing Racist
Amongst other work, Shaffir is probably most well known for a series of purposely offensive comedy works entitled The Amazing Racist (the title is a play on that of reality television show The Amazing Race). In these shorts the Amazing Racist is seen acting in a manner which is overtly racist. Shaffir filmed many of his offensive encounters for the DVD National Lampoon's Lost Reality.
Shaffir has been accused of promoting racial hate through his videos. In an article by the Southern Poverty Law Center, hate group members are quoted as saying that they use some of Shaffir's jokes, then expand and "run with" those ideas.
On July 13th, one of his videos has appeared on Tarrant on TV in the UK.
