Glenn barden

Glenn S. Barden, (born June, 1989 in England) is a former English track and field athlete.

Athletics career
He was the youngest medal winner at the 2000 Commonwealth Youth Games, lining up in the 5000M final at the age of just 11 years ?? days and finishing in third place with a time of 20:02.56, which was considerably slower than the qualification time he set two days previously, which would infact have given him the gold medal. Glenn was visibly disappointed with his performance and refused to take part in the medal ceremony, chosing instead to leave the venue to return home, his bronze medal remaining unclaimed to this day.

Post athletics
Since the 2000 Games Glenn has not renewed membership with UK Athletics and it is unknown where Glenn is currently residing. He is believed to have made a token appearance in the 2005 Hastings Mini-Run
, although this may be a name-sake.
