Georgia Routsis Savas is a writer, bibliomancist and astrologer living in North Topsail Beach, North Carolina. Born in 1958, Savas is an alumnus of the Passaic Valley Regional High School Class of 1976 in Little Falls, New Jersey and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City for her A.A. in advertising and communications. In 1998, Savas appeared as a contestant on episode #3283 of the CBS quiz show , which aired December 9 of that year. Savas, competing against Gary Tish, an appliance technician from Decatur, Illinois and John Zorn, a teacher from Los Angeles, California, finished in third place, winning $3000. Savas enjoys fashion and advertising and that affection lead her to write for Ms Magazine. An Australian company later bought the publication and launched a new one aimed at teenage girls: Sassy. Corporate dissatisfaction with the astrology column led them to offer the position to Savas, who dabbled seriously in the art of studying the stars. She accepted the position, enjoying it and eventually also wrote for the New York Daily News' Sunday magazine. In the meantime, Savas went to work at CNN alongside fashion commentator Elsa Klensch. While at CNN, Savas would eventually become the New York newsroom's unit manager and write a book for Seventeen magazine. Total Astrology: What the Stars Say About Life and Love was a success and nominated for the American Library Association's 2001 Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Adult Readers. Savas has written for several magazines and a television show including: * Ms. - advertising copy * In Style - monthly horoscope column * The Oracle Book, 2001 (Simon & Schuster), ISBN: 0743221877 * The Oracle Of Love, 2006 (Simon & Schuster), ISBN: 0743291972<ref name = s&s/> Savas also performs private consultations, chart mapping and cosmic divination.<ref name = oracle/>
