Edward A. Lyon

Edward A. Lyon is an American author, consultant, attorney and public speaker who is an authority on tax planning. He is the cofounder and Partner-in-Charge at TaxCoach Software, LLC as well as the cofounder of The American Institute of Certified Tax Coaches, and Coach4College.
Background
Lyon was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 10, 1964. He received a B.S. in history from Hamilton College and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
Career
Lyon began his career in 1986, working as a legislative analyst for the House Republican Conference under Dick Cheney and Jack Kemp. After leaving his legislative analyst job in 1988, Lyon worked as a staff writer for National Underwriter Company, a financial consultant for Merrill Lynch, and a pension-marketing consultant for Ohio National Life Insurance Company, before opening his private tax practice. This ultimately led to the development of his tax coaching business.
Recognition
Lyon has appeared on over 300 radio and television broadcasts, including over two dozen national television appearances. Lyon’s appearances include interviews on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and CNBC </ref>. Roseanne Barr dubbed Lyon “The Funniest Tax Guy in America” on her talk show, The Roseanne Show.
In addition to his recognition as a speaker and coach, Lyon is also an author.
