Genesis3D is a game engine created by Eclipse Entertainment. It was distributed as free open-source software and later under an open-source license. By 1999, development of the engine was overtaken by WildTangent. The first beta version of the engine was released on July 30, 1998. Release Candidate 1 was shipped on March 2, 1999.
