Anthony Labruna is an American government employee, currently serving as the Deputy White House liaison for the United States Department of Commerce. A college senior at Iowa State University, many officials within the Department of Commerce have raised concerns about Labruna's age and lack of experience. Early life and education Labruna is a native of Fullerton, California, and attends Iowa State University. Prior to joining the White House Office, Labruna was slated to graduate in May 2020. Career A member of Iowa State's College Republicans, Labruna worked on the Donald Trump 2020 presidential campaign before leaving after the 2020 Iowa Republican caucuses. Labruna also worked as an aide to Jarad Klein, a member of the Iowa House of Representatives. Labruna was recommended for a position in the Trump Administration through John McEntee, a former "body man" to Donald Trump and the current director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office.
