Generator Hostels is a British hostelling company. The company currently operates two hostels: one in London (United Kingdom) and the other in Berlin (Germany). The company is a private company limited by shares. Company history and profile Generator Hostels was founded by British hotel entrepeneurs in 1995, the same year the London hostel opened. The London hostel is located in Russell Square, Bloomsbury near St Pancras International with 850 beds ranging from single to dorms to cater for all travelers aged 16-35. The Berlin site opened its doors in 2002 with over 900 beds, located next to Landsberger Allee railway station in the Prenzlauer Berg district. All bedrooms are basic with bunk beds and a wash basin. Showers and toilets are separated for male and females on every floor (en-suite rooms are available in the Berlin location). There are also four public areas: Fuel stop (Self service breakfast and dinner buffet), Chill out lounge (with sofas, films and internet terminals), Turbine (eating area with pool tables) and there is the Generator bar, with events like quizzes and karaoke.
