Gautam Raj Anand (born 28 Jan 1992) is an Indian economist and Internet entrepreneur known for co-founding social news platform Hubhopper. Gautam is from Delhi and is an Economics graduate from Delhi University. Early life Gautam is originally from Delhi, the national capital of India. He co founded Hubhopper along with his brother Uday Raj Anand. Before the success of Hubhopper, Gautam worked as a senior risk analyst in Barclays . During his graduation he worked as research intern in EY, HSBC, Barclays and McCannIn Career After completion of degree Gautam joined Barclays in 2013, where he has served for more than a year. He joined there as a senior risk analyst. After working for a year there , Gautam decided to leave his job and start his own company. He along with his brother Uday Raj Anand started a social news platform that aggregates content from different channels. Currently the Hubhopper has more than 100,000 google playstore downloads and 4.7 rating on the same, highest for any Indian news app. Till now he have raised 3 rounds of funding for his company and look to become next big thing in digital space. Awards and recognition Recently his company Hubhopper was adjudged problem solver of the year 2017. His app also made the top 50 best social app] on google play store.
