Gabriel Akon (born December 26, 1993), who records under the mononym B-Real, is a South Sudanese-Australian recording artist. He originally became known for his debut mix tape 'Soundtrack 2 My Life' In December 2010, Gabriel Akon began showcasing his rapping skills, slowly making a name for himself in the Australian Music scene. In January 2011, B-real released a statement announcing that his first studio work, debut mix tape Soundtrack 2 My Life, had been completed. The Mix tape was released on August 1, 2011, and debuted at number one on the Hot New Hip Hop top 200. The Mixtape has since received over 6000 downloads. He plans to release his second Mix tape on February 11, 2011 titled Closer To My Dreams. B-Real was set to release an R&B mix-tape sometime in the future, a project he has since promised his fans. Gabriel Akon has worked with several other hip-hop and RnB artists such as Chris Ray, Destorm and longtime friend Eman. |
