Gabriel Abed is a Barbados-based, FinTech entrepreneur and technologist. He is the co-founder of Bitt and Digital Asset fund (DAF) and the founder of a blockchain consultancy - Novelty Curve. Abed leads the creation of the first digitized fiat currency on the blockchain - the digital Barbados dollar. The new FinTech company founded by Abed was Bitt. Bitt has partnered with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Caribbean Telecommunications Union. Abed is now providing infrastructure to support digital ecosystem for financial and economic sectors. Awards Abed received the Vanguard Award by CAHA (Caribbean American Heritage Award) on 16 November 2016. |
