Entrepreneurship for Change

Fair Investment believes that there needs to be greater emphasis given to the role that business and enterprise can play in reducing poverty. Businesses have the ability to transform deprived communities through the intelligent use of resources. The directors of Fair Investment believe strongly that supporting and empowering entrepreneurship within communities provides a more sustainable wealth creation model than just providing financial handouts.

Current projects that Fair Investment Company support include the work of the Bulgarian Partners Trust which is working in partnership with the Baptist Church in Sofia to build a social, educational and medical centre in the city centre; which is involved in training and supporting poor marginalised communities in Sub-Saharan Africa to help them help themselves and Five Talents UK which is a microfinance organisation that seeks to fight poverty, create jobs and transform lives in developing countries by providing loan capital and business training for entrepreneurs.

Fair Investment Company is also a keen supporter of green initiatives and socially responsible financial products.
