Opportunity Peterborough

Opportunity Peterborough is an Economic Development Company in the United Kingdom. Originally established in April 2005 as an Urban Regeneration Company, Opportunity Peterborough refocused its remit in 2010 to deliver key economic development services, singularly supported by Peterborough City Council.
In delivering these services, Opportunity Peterborough focuses on:
* Ensuring Peterborough is visible to investors
* Supporting local business ambitions
* Creating conditions to increase skills levels across our communities
* Increasing our knowledge of the local economy and utilising intelligence effectively
* Supporting the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Local Enterprise Partnership
The aim is to confirm Peterborough as a premier location for business and industry, increase the prosperity of the city's people, facilitate employment and training opportunities and increase the standard of living.
As part of this work, Opportunity Peterborough supports local business through advice and brokerage; provides business-to-business networking opportunities for companies through the city-wide Bondholder scheme; delivers visible marketing campaigns to attract prospective investors; has established a Skills Vision to enhance the local workforce and improve employment levels across the city and works to ensure the Local Enterprise Partnership focuses on issues that support growth in Peterborough.
