Nextiva

Nextiva, Inc. is a cloud-based VoIP communications company founded in 2006 and based in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. The company offers office telephony services to the small and medium-size companies serving in the United States and Canada. Nextiva business phone systems focus on VoIP services. In addition, the company provides virtual fax lines and PBX trunk lines for SIP Trunking. The company is owned by UnitedWeb Inc., a holding company based in Scottsdale that owns other technology businesses including online security firm SiteLock, Internet hosting firm IPower and web-based marketing firm IBoost.
History
Nextiva was founded in 2006 by Tomas Gorny in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. In 2009, the company announced that it has partnered with Carbonfund.org, the United States' leading non-profit climate solutions organization. In January 2012, Nextiva announced plans to hire about 100 new workers as it aims to grow its marketing and sales to small and medium-sized businesses. The company’s hiring plans included bringing on new high-tech engineers, managers, marketing professionals as well as sales and support staff.
Environment protection
In 2009, Nextiva partnered with Carbonfund.org, a non-profit organization that provides carbon offsetting and greenhouse gas reduction solutions for individuals, businesses, and organizations. The company adopted the CarbonFree Partner program that supports third-party validated renewable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation projects in the United States and abroad to reduce and accelerate the transition to a clean energy future.
Partnerships
In the early 2014, Nextiva joined the Linux Foundation, utilizing Linux as the operating system on company's most important servers.
In June 2014, Nextiva partnered with a nonprofit organization named Million Thanks that sends handwritten letters of thanks to U.S. troops. In the first week, Nextiva employees wrote more than 300 letters.
Awards
In summer of 2008, Nextiva has been awarded "Number 1 Business VoIP Provider" by MyVoIPProvider.com for the month of June 2008. In 2010 and 2011, it received TMC’s Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award for the second year in a row. The award is presented to products that facilitate voice, data and video communications, or a combination of them. It also won TMC's "2011 Internet Telephony Product of the Year Award" for their product Nextiva Office. On November 24, 2012, Nextiva received Polycom's for amazing service, the highest of distinctions from the telecommunications company, recognizing growth and exceptional services. In December 2012, the company announced that it has been named to be one of Phoenix’s "Best Places to Work" for the second year in a row by Phoenix Business Journal.
In November 2014, Nextiva was named fastest-growing company in Arizona in the Deloitte’s 2014 Technology Fast 500 Ranking, while being ranked 80th in the country list.
